3 ideas for a tasty breakfast after a good night’s sleep!
After a restoring night’s sleep, a good breakfast is what you need!
The first meal of the day and also the most important: find out why you should never skip it and enjoy these 3 ideas for an excellent breakfast!
3 fundamental rules for an ideal breakfast
- Never skip it! After hours spent without food, our body needs to regain vitamins, minerals and sugar.
- Enjoy your breakfast calmly and in serenity.
- Change the menu often: there isn’t a real ideal breakfast but it’s always a good thing to vary your diet as much as possible, and this applies to every meal.
The traditional Italian breakfast with milk and cookies or rusk bread with jam is fine, but it should be alternated with other dishes: here are 3 different ideas for a really super breakfast!
1. Porridge
Porridge is a typical dish from the English cuisine and it’s perfect for a balanced and healthy breakfast: it is made with oatmeal and either cow or vegetable milk. Cook it in a saucepan for a few minutes.
A teaspoon of honey, a sprinkle of cinnamon, some shelled walnust and lots of fresh fruit will complete this very tasty dish.
2. French Toast
The original recipe is too fatty, so we’ll change it like this: use slices of soft whole wheat bread, dip the slices in an egg and some milk that have been mixed together; sear the slices of bread in a non-stick pan without adding any fats such as butter or oil.
Once the bread gains a golden color, add jam and sprinkle with fresh fruit!
3. Pudding with chia seeds
Chia seeds are loaded with calcium, omega-3, vitamin C and potassium, so they are perfect for your breakfast. Here’s the tip: put 3 tablespoons of seeds in a small bowl and cover them with any type of vegetable milk (you will need about 30 gr of seeds every 200 ml of milk). Add a tablespoon of agave nectar and vanilla or cinnamon if you like.
Let it stand in the refrigerator overnight; in the morning you’ll find a tasty pudding ready to be eaten with lots of fresh fruit!
