Fall asleep in 60 seconds with the “4-7-8” technique!
Let’s discover how we can fall asleep within seconds thanks to a very innovative method proposed by an American scientist, Dr. Andrew Weil.
If counting sheep isn’t enough for you, try the “4-7-8” breathing technique, based on an ancient Indian practice used for regulating your breath. Find out more and try it tonight!
A natural tranquilizer for your nervous system
According to an American doctor, herbal teas or specific medicinal products won’t be necessary to help you fall asleep within seconds every night.
Already back in 1975, another researcher from Harvard University discovered how some simple and quick meditation exercises can help people suffering from anxiety or insomnia.
You’ll feel quickly relaxed thanks to Pranayama
It is based on an Indian practice called pranayama which actually means “rhythmic control of the breath”: this practice uses the oxygen in our body to calm our nervous system.
However, in order to achieve effective and lasting results over time, you will need to practice the “4-7-8” technique twice a day for a few weeks. It may seem a long time, but the effects could change your life so it’s worth a try!
Besides sleeping better, consider also the fact that these breathing techniques are useful for managing anxiety in moments of high stress and for acquiring major control over our emotions.
The “4-7-8” technique in practice
- Start by exhaling through your mouth.
- Close your mouth and inhale through your nose while you mentally count up to 4 very slowly.
- Hold your breath and count up to 7, always slowly.
- Exhale through your mouth while counting to 8.
Start over from step 2, inhaling through your nose for 3 more times, for a total of 4 breathing cycles.
Take a deep breath… and sleep wonderfully!
